Funny-Annoying Computer Gripes

I've decided to start documenting some of the gripes I have with computers and computer software. The gripes can and will apply to all computer platforms and operating systems, but I will give special attention to the Microsoft Windows platform and PC hardware, which over the years has caused me more grief than I can possibly recollect right now.

I wish I could go back and document all those extremely frustrating, annoying experiences I've had with software (actually, I don't...), but let's just start in 2007 and move forward to today. The list might be small now, but will grow over time.

I went almost two years without updating this page. Clearly I haven't had too many gripes. I use a Mac for my desktop, FreeBSD for my servers, and Windows XP for my work. For what I use them for, they just work. And all three have their useful features.
