This is the biggest and best bike you can get in India... best because parts are available virtually everywhere and the bike has been made for 60 years, or more, and remains virtually unchanged. Old school spring seats and an extra-large gas tank, for long trips. I bought this one from an excellent "export quality" dealer in Delhi, Karol Bagh district. Looks cooler without luggage racks. :-)

1948 Enfield J2 - mint. I found this on the web somewhere and lost the source. I could only imagine driving this bike around India. It would need a second seat, above the rear fender, but that would be easy to add. And then it could carry a whole family, or at least that's how they do it in India.

What is redbeet?

This is my retro website, a homepage that dates back to the day when the Web was still coded with text editors, well-worn keyboards, elbow grease and Unix servers... the guts all neatly hidden from sight thanks to hyperlinks.
